PILOT STEAM WORKSHOP LAUNCHED!

The 26th of October 2017, seen the fruition of a concept develop from nurturing and developing, Creative and Digital Skills come alive. With the launch of the Analogue to Digital, Inclusive STEAM Workshop.

Teachers, Designers, Visual Illustrators, Facilitators and 20 Children, gathered together at Munpunt, Library in central Brussels.

Children from Kasterlinden, a school for children with intellectual and physical disabilities, and deaf children, along with the mainstream Unesco School, Koekelberg, came together.  To enjoy the immersive, Creative, Analogue and Digital experience. Fun was had by all! With 20 Children in total participating; one full class of 8 children on the Autistism Spectrum from Kasterlinden. Along with 12 Children from the Unescoschool Koekelberg Basisschool.

An introduction to Muntpunt’s Robot Zohra, with an opening speech and ending the day with a dance was exciting for children to see. Some children seeing a ‘live’ Robot for the very first time.

Enjoying the Creative Play morning session, right through to the Virtual Reality (VR), to the Augmented Reality (AR).  Ending, on the rewarding experience, learning and designing their own name badge, with 3D printing.
